looks like poorfag meals are back on the menu

My husband keeps trying to get me to eat beans, but they give me gas. Is there a way to prepare them that prevents this?

When you make beans and rice, do you serve them side by side, layer them(with either rice or beans on top), or mix them together before serving?
Personally, I prefer pic related.

Anyone know some simply recipes with rice and beans? I'm trying to cut down on my meat consumption but still want protein in my diet. (not vegan though).
