I'm looking for a good coat and a pair of boots for this winter. I want a parka (preferably olive) that is warm enough for low temperatures. I like the alpha industries (pic related) but it looks pretty thin. Any advice?

It seems no one is answering this q but w2c good quality fishtail parkas new? I'm searching the forums and stuff of course but none of them are quite what I'm looking for, especially not that Supreme one. The toj is nice but seems hard to get. Looking to pay around $300 if possible.

I dont have a whole lot to compare it to as this is my first selectively permeable jacket but its waterproofing is quite effective all the way up to torrential downpour for quite a while. I was walking around in a heavy rainstorm and it kept my body down to my knees pretty much totally dry. Its quite breathable, i feel comfortable wearing it for long periods of time. The color is on point, and the craftsmanship feels great, no stitches out of line or flaws noticeable to my untrained eye. Im sure its water-proofing and breathability falls short of arcteryx veilance or nanamica level coats, but for the price range i find it exceeded my expectations. The sleeves come to points so as to keep your hands more dry, and the adjustability is great. The fit is great, i usually wear a medium and its spot on.

do you really need a parka? if so you should invest in a better one.
