I actually almost bought those, they're pretty nice and would go will with jeans and brown trousers and such like.

However I returned them and got these instead. Looks less formal with the four pairs of eyelets, less shiny material is also less formal, the colour is more versatile in my opinion (goes with black jeans as well) and it's got a gore-tex lining as well.

If you spray them down every so often with leather protector which you can get from Clarks they'll hold up well in the rain.

I agree with the guy on the no desert boots thing, they're too flat in my opinion. If you want a chukka style boot then go for something a bit different like this.

A Chukka is a boot that is that sort of design. Ankle high, 2-4 lace holes usually. A Desert Boot is that but with a crepe sole, look at all the images ITT to see what that is.

Clarks is a shoe manufacturer that makes pretty decent boots for the price range.

Pic is a Chukka boot that isn't a Desert Boot. I'm personally not too into crepe soles so I kind of like this better.
