This one's from H&M but the material is so thin that I had to buy a dark coloured one because the lighter ones were almost transparent.

/fa/, what would you consider to be a qt coat for a grill? Not necessarily a specific one, just general cuts/styles. I've been wearing a black peacoat for a couple years now and I'm tired of being a basic bitch. As far as color, I'm leaning towards camel rn. Pic mostly unrelated

Yes I've done that, the only place where I found one was H&M but the fabric is pretty shit. I'm mainly asking if anyone knows which stores in the UK are currently stocking them that have better quality materials so I don't have to waste my time trawling through every single shop.

Don't know much about their basic tees, but I tried on their linen shirts. It was my first time trying on linen, so I don't know what it's supposed to feel like, but they felt heavy and kind of scratchy, the opposite of what I was expecting and definitely not something I'd get for myself.

I like the jeans, though. I have a pair of their skinny tapereds. They fit well enough and I like how light they feel compared to something like Levi's.

Until now when my clothes have become damaged or lost I would go to Target and pick out whatever they had that was in my size. You can wear a blazer over most everything, but perhaps the simplest way to do it is with either a navy or brown/tan blazer with a block color t-shirt or a tucked-in button-up with a pair of light wash blue or indigo jeans. I've been doing the research opinion for quite a while, and I agree that it's certainly necessary and useful.
To be honest, the closest I've come to consolidating the two is this oversized Junya blazer with goofy sleeves over a very old (dating back to the 80s I think) Yohji 3/4 shirt and it looked decent enough, but it could use refining (and better pants)

vests, shirts and trousers are all pieces from a very early time periods and continue to exist in a similar setting from then - it's not indicative of their inspiration...
it's unlikely that a relatively small (?) label will encapsulate ideas from a plethora of different time periods. i.e. it's better to use concrete indicators to base ref from... so although vests, shoes and trousers did exist in 'pre-20th cent.' by looking at other works by eg it's evident that they are particularly interested in 20th cent post ww2 america.
but maybe it's not a time frame thing but a 'evolution of concept' thing (kind've like raf) where it doesn't really abide by anything but raf's own experience and interpretation
really i dont know anything about eg

idc tbh i dont really like ph or eg but i wouldnt ever make the comparison in discussion.

Anyone know where else to find Henley's of this exact style in the UK? I mean slim fitting, with the long sleeves and the button down strips that hold them when they're rolled up.

I've only found them in H&M so far and they didn't have a navy one in my size and the material is paper thin. I wouldn't mind paying more since H&M is a pretty low starting point as it is.

Uniqlo is less than convenient because the stores are only in london.

I actually almost bought those, they're pretty nice and would go will with jeans and brown trousers and such like.

However I returned them and got these instead. Looks less formal with the four pairs of eyelets, less shiny material is also less formal, the colour is more versatile in my opinion (goes with black jeans as well) and it's got a gore-tex lining as well.

If you spray them down every so often with leather protector which you can get from Clarks they'll hold up well in the rain.

I bought them this year and they are definitely still in stock.

The Nubuck can get marked pretty easily but I think it makes for a nice used look.

They've been through quite a few nights out and they still look fine. One time they were covered in stains from drinks and I was really annoyed, then I walked home in the pouring rain, got them soaked and they were spotless when they dried out.

£90 well spent I think.
