This is unironically what I was taught in school. I am working on ironing that out, and I will learn from established sources to better my technique. What concerns me more is that it only took three (3) hours to wear the nib out by doing this with minimal pressure, at an ~85° angle.

Are metal nibs bait? I would not use one without a screen protector, mind.
