Because that's what, (I don't use the term AI because it's not AI), these artificial creation 'tools' are supposed to be, tools. They should never be seen as complete replacements. Guess who is still cooking burgers at fast food places? Guess who is still assisting you when the self-check out machine doesn't understand a function? I personally am all for artificial assistance and in the long run true AI but not the way the "AI bros" see things. Generative Artificial Assistance should be akin to a dog that finds specific mushrooms in the forest hiding under brush you're not always capable of spotting.
I think for some people they are too acute to things like sci-fi with a side of hatred or bigotry thinking they are getting a one up on certain people. For many they only see 'twitter artists' who they suspect are just all failed trans-people that can't do anything else and they want to hurt them. Thing is with any tool people will use it however. Just ignore them and keep making your stuff; I am.
