This should be a motivational picture for you.
It shows skill isn't everything and appeal goes a long way. If you're not an NPC like Proko, chances are you've already won half the battle, now you only need to get some skills, which are way easier than becoming sentient.

Cartooning is a skill & art in itself. Just learning the technical properties of representational drawing is not enough. This is one reason why I think AI fails at it so much.

Anons struggling with creativity should really try to understand writing as a creative subject. Scenes, abstract ideas and imagery can be pulled together very simply, but learning the process of it has to start somewhere.

I get what he's getting at tho. It's pathetic how people limit their artistic expression to the most vapid of subjects to appeal to the general unthinking masses
You end up with this chain of de evolution where the people who first started drawing anime were inspired by nature and movies and Liturature. But the next generation is just inspired by the anime, which is derivative, then the next generation is only inspired by that derivative anime so it's even more shallow and vapid and it just keeps going until we admit that it's WRONG to be inspired only by fucking anime girls.
It's pathetic.
I like anime too, but I make sure to also read Liturature and look at old art from various cultures so that you don't end up with stagnant and trite inspirations

Further up is about how you should be looking at the mundane around you and expanding upon it like all true sources of art and inspiration have been.
Nobody is telling you to look at a thing and turn it anime but rinotuna was likely brought up as a simple straightforward example considering half their art is expanding upon simple concepts.
Also unless you are the same person that is not what anon was getting at they were just trying to shitpost ironically because they aren't feeling well which is why they are on 4chan instead of drawing in the first place.

I'm really curious what kind of art those chuu2 anons draw? Especially because they post on 4cahn's /ic/. Something thought-prowoking and life changing like a bible fanart or portraits? Epic realistic paintings but with wacky le deep takes? Or maybe artist's shit? I mean yeah art attracts those kind of people even more than lit.
