A lot of AI tech bros using generative AI relish in pointing out that generative AI will replace the visual artist. I was wondering if this was true it least from a commercial perspective and actually found out that hollywood and big studios are firing AI prompters and hiring artists back again. The reason? They can't produce the same quality of work that real artists can, they don't take critique well at all (are very thin-skinned) They can't reproduce works in a same general style that real artists can, etc. the list goes on and on. It seems that there is still a commercial need for talented artists that have trained in this field.

Even for hobbyists, why shit on them as well? Do they really not see the value in what an artist brings? Perhaps it's more nuanced than that. I've used AI to help guide my drawing process like getting specific poses for references or even aiding in costume design ideas. However, my final works are drawn completely by me. I think there's a place for real artists to actually use AI like a tool and not have it replace creatives entirely

Just stop talking about AI bro, keep it to yourself. Ask yourself what's the point of this thread, you spent all that time writing all this garbage when you could've just done something productive like cleaning your room.

I'm bored and i don't even want to reply to the hourly AI troll thread.
>but its not troll its anti ai!!!!
>proceeds then to just throw insults at anyone saying anything
>proceeds just to copypaste the same insults and bait faith arguments that have been spammed to death
>but the epic troll is that its all written by chatgpt
Exactly why kids should be banned from the internet, along with porn.

beta males envy the chad creative power of artists. despite spending thousands on stem degrees and often making 6 figures the stemcel aura still gives females the ick. meanwhile even nerds like Robert Crumb can harness chad creative energy and get the hoes.
being an artist is the closest thing man can get to God, creating something from nothing, of course it breeds resentment.
AI is the stemcel's effort to 'even the playing field,' but the simp aura emanates from AI imagery, that shit ain't making pussies wet.

There you go.

Not all forms of progress are right, this is clearly one which we hardly need, art should remain as a purely human activity for it is only where people can exercise absolute freedom in the entirety of their existence, AI reduces its purpose, and cheapens its value. You're a shitskin with no principles, please die.

>I think there's a place for real artists to actually use AI like a tool and not have it replace creatives entirely
Because that's what, (I don't use the term AI because it's not AI), these artificial creation 'tools' are supposed to be, tools. They should never be seen as complete replacements. Guess who is still cooking burgers at fast food places? Guess who is still assisting you when the self-check out machine doesn't understand a function? I personally am all for artificial assistance and in the long run true AI but not the way the "AI bros" see things. Generative Artificial Assistance should be akin to a dog that finds specific mushrooms in the forest hiding under brush you're not always capable of spotting.
I think for some people they are too acute to things like sci-fi with a side of hatred or bigotry thinking they are getting a one up on certain people. For many they only see 'twitter artists' who they suspect are just all failed trans-people that can't do anything else and they want to hurt them. Thing is with any tool people will use it however. Just ignore them and keep making your stuff; I am.

closest thing man can get to being a God? or actually getting closer to God? Wouldn't having kids be the same thing? just curious, not responding in spite

In China they're doing the same thing but the reason is different. Chinese Artists are cheaper than AI specially because they don't have the tech since Muricans put a buying limit on China.

I don't believe this ever actually happened. Show me an instance of where an actual studio hire "prompters".
