>Fran has the same birthday as Ray
Just let them fuck already dammit. The next arc better be Ray correcting Fran for 200 chapters straight, else I keep torrenting the hell out of Dendro.

Definitely not someone from Altar/Dryfe for sure and absolutely a ranker if we were to take the running joke seriously. Would be horrifyingly funny if it was Jubei, though that wouldn't make sense going by vol 17's implication. Denyuuden's members seem to be mostly "mild-mannered" (and insan--Superior material) so I can't see any of them in the enemy camp except if they're misunderstood like Desire.

From nu-/a/? Then yeah, that's overblown, mind you they basically don't read anything before 2018 now. Pre-chink/gook invasion everyone pretty much loves MT, Arifureta, and anything Yoraikun shitted out (which includes Shield Hero, Sevens, Dragoon, and Daraku no Ou) despite the translation's varying degree of quality. Of course, the underwhelming amount of translated WN/LN at the time contributes to their success, but that doesn't mean they're all shit compared to current LN/WNs. I can vouch for Sevens' quality at the very least.

>second best
Fuck you anon, that's his best work. Celes has that pure sex energy that Mylene can't beat and its honestly refreshing to see an actually unrepentant villainess that can't be dicked out of evil as an antagonist.

Just be aware that English and Japanese is really different as a language and even moreso in their written form. The anon before is correct in saying TRPG is shilled for its prose simply because it's written like in the form of an actual western literature. Though if you're already familiar with young-adult shit then I suppose it's "about the same."

I've reread some VNs that I read right when I was starting out learning Japanese and it's surprising to see how well I understood them.
For stuff I read in my first year/year and a half I made about 1 large mistake per book, along with a good helping of small mistakes. (Large as in I misunderstood a scene, small being me misunderstanding a word or phrase.)
Compared to the average translation, that's really, really, really fucking good. And that was at the absolute nadir of my abilities when I was struggling horribly. I rarely make mistakes like that now.
Basically what I'm saying is that I think your post is full of shit. A person who cares about a story with a dictionary and elbow grease will beat out the average translation 365 days of the year, regardless of skill level.

So can I get your honest opinion? Do you think the reason why she didn't show up to the 6th gen anniversary was because she had some sort of falling out with her gen mates due to one of these mental breakdowns? She seemed friendly with them recently, but obviously I may have misunderstood based on her recent tweets.

Parsee: She was pretty cute and I rather like blondes so that was a plus but she was rather strange at first. I just saw past that since most youkai are strange, but she was married to her job and it didn't work out very well. (I asked Marisa about the strange straw dolls I find behind my house sometimes but she said not to worry about it...)

Satori: Satori was real well spoken and had an elegant air so that was cool. I thought we really hit it off and she even showed me her collection of real cool pets! Even though she doesn't like going out it didn't bother me much until I started melting, she forgot to mention that her pet raven was minorly radioactive. (Fortunately Eientei agreed to treat my radiation sickness, I think it amused her, she didn't let me see Kaguya)

Clownpiece: I was pretty weary about what happened before with the fairies but she seemed real genuine and there was rarely a dull moment with her around! Even if it was a little awkward having to meet and constantly donate to the shrine we were getting pretty cozy until she came over to my house in secret and almost burned it down. (I choose not to recall what happened after she had me stare into her torch)

Hatate: She was kinda cool at first with her powers and job reporting in the news and stuff. I thought we might start going steady until I went to her house and saw some rather uncomfortable things. I swear I see black wings every now and then flying overhead but Marisa tells me i'm just imaging things. (I ran really fast from her house)

Aunn: I wasn't really into her if i'm honest but she started growing on me. I thought she was kinda cute by the time she stabbed me with her horn while trying to give me a running hug, sending me to the hospital. (I swear Eirin is only treating me because she finds it amusing to watch me in pain)

Waggy: I learned two things: Mermaids are possessive, and I can't hold my breathe for longer than one and half minutes. (i'm never going around the lake again)

Rumia: I'm not really into lolis but she is rather cute and seeing her fly around in an uncanny black sphere is relaxing. Just don't accept dinner dates since she has a rather different interpretation of 'having you for dinner' than a human does. (Her skull collection is cool though)

Benben: I'm not big into music but listening to her perform was a blast. Her sister was pretty nice too and I like their concerts. I really thought this one would work out but unfortunately when I mentioned that I didn't know the difference between a biwa and a lute things quickly escalated (how was I supposed to know she'd take that personally?!)

Reisen: I was rather weary even if she was super cute since she worked under Eirin but the white haired witch didn't seem to mind. She's super cute and kind and petting her head was real nice. Sadly I got caught in a prank by the little black haired one and Reisen misunderstood everything when she caught me in my underwear with the black haired rabbit crying like a crocodile! (I swear I wasn't doing anything! did you know that rabbits kick real hard?)

Koakuma: At first I thought I was in for a great since you know, succubus and all that. However, she barely had the time to even talk to me much less go on a date since she's taking care of that woman-child all day. (Probably for the best, I had a chance to look in her journal and none of her fetishes were wholesome. in the worst of ways)

Wriggle: Not my first choice but I thought she was a real nice girl actually, and i'm not afraid of bugs. At least thats what I thought. (Never dating a bug youkai again)

Marisa is super kind to take the time with a problem client like me... Even though I keep coming back she never raises the rates. I'm sure one day things will work out! surely they will!

Thank you for responding. I think you misunderstood, when I say "step beyond desire" I am referring to the practical actions individuals take to realize their ideas or seek out the hidden door, moving past merely desiring the object of their adoration to somehow achieving it. In your parlance maybe this is like what do you do after embracing the absurdity of the world?

I really do appreciate your perspective, anon. I think I understand your point of view. I'm not really referring to /x/ people necessarily, rather individuals I tend to group VERY broadly in a box of striving to overcome the world, and the approach is generally different (and what interests me), the motivations are also different, but the similarity is that this world completely lacks the ultimate object of adoration. It has to be recast or departed from or some mysterious unutterable other thing.

She successfully managed to deceive me.
At that time I thought she was planning to reincarnate and already had a next plan set.
I misunderstood the meaning of her smile and happiness in her graduation stream.

She was either powering through it to not make her fans worry, or had already accepted it as the ending of one fragment of her life with no regrets and ready for a different adventure.
But the second one is something usually reached when accepting one's fate when facing death.
Did she reach that state so early?
I can't imagine being able to live a normal life after experiencing something special, but it may have depleted a lot of her energy.

Once her energy is recovered we may find out if she can give up on this potential.

KC included a bunch of concept and variation sketches of Malef with different body types in the "Making Of" article.
>It is often misunderstood when I depict a young figure, but as you can see from the fact that Malef Dragons are not described as always possessing a young figure in the text, they can also be an older sister-type.
>In fact, since dragons tend to be large in stature, they are more likely to be big-breasted elder sisters-types.
>So, the Malef Dragon chosen for the illustration just happens to be a young Malef Dragon.

For a hypothetical in-universe explanation, it might be safer for the Wandering Scholar to interview a younger Malef than a full grow adult that might try to corrupt him (or his art fairy follower) and make him a permanent resident of the kingdom.
