Maybe CBU3 games like XVI and Endwalker have no restrictions but VIIR does, or maybe it was changed or Subaru misunderstood. Guess we'll see.

Yes, I have said it before-she has to be successful. She gets all the push she needs and if she is not getting more popular she is going to be in a really tough spot. I wonder if they will ever move her to kumo. I somehow can't see her doing what Rian is doing now. But maybe that's her future, Kumo center?

It was actually fun, I expected 5 min ad for the new album, but they actually had casual talk. They talked about their activities as idols from newcomers' perspective, Yakubo was asked to give some tips for people who just moved to Tokyo (I don't even remember her answer, sorry), they talked about the atmosphere in 楽屋 and how they figure out who gets to eat snacks (Yakubo thought they would play rock paper scissors, but they just ask who is hungry). They did a quiz on Nana's school club, one guy was pretty close to guessing it right (he said she was playing violin). It was a longer format and it was probably my favorite Bokuao radio so far. I am sorry if I misunderstood anything, but I was doing something else while listening

Holy shit her paranoia is going to blame every holomem he interacted with, typical of woman who tries to justify their own cheating

I will admit that I'm relatively new, only two years in, and I did misunderstand a lot, but I'm not that ignorant.
>probably because you don't actually know where it's from and have just repeated something you read
I know where it's from and why I might've misundertood it. Picrel is also from there and from it, just like from other earlier printworks and interviews, Touhou seemed like a different setting than what we got later. Like you've said, outdated info.
>the games and the printwork have the same overall tone
The newer ones do, the earlier games felt like they had at least some contrast with the then current printworks, cementing the whole "fake conflict" premise. I think the divergence started to become less and less apparent since BAiJR. Then again, I could've misunderstood those as well.
>If you only care about the series for its gameplay why are you even in a thread literally called "ZUN and canon"
I honestly don't know. I've been coming to these threads ever since I've read all of the official printworks except AFiEU, and all I've got for it were migranes, "stick-to-canon-or-die" autism infection, and a lack of grind. It wasn't fun or educational in the slightest, yet I keep coming here for some reason.
Slightly off topic, but in case this isn't just bait and you really are just someone more educated in lore, what exactly am I missing here? Even among fans so dedicated they've learned japanese to read the source material there's no concensus on whether Touhou is grim or not, or to what extent. Any time I reread printworks I just come to the same conclusions, and the usual arguments (holidays and festivals, youkai trade, best medicine in the world, divine blessings, people seemingly content in the manga) just don't seem enough to consider it balanced, it's at least 65% grim, I think. But again, I'm pretty new, and there are some knowledgeable fans that still hold the opposite or, at least, less severe opinion, so I must be not getting something, right?

>ZUN himself compared in-game dialogue to wrestlers threatening each other.
I know the quote you're talking about and you've misunderstood - probably because you don't actually know where it's from and have just repeated something you read - ZUN refers to the girls talking with each other, say when Remilia boasts about her fate manipulation, not what they do to people, so if Rumia says she eats humans it's because she does. But that doesn't matter since the claim is grossly outdated, all the way back in 2003, and has been disproven in LoLK where Junko's threats are real. This point is bad.
>You wouldn't know it was grim if you only played the games.
First of all I never claimed the setting was grim, you did and said you hated it, continuing with that my point is that the games and the printwork have the same overall tone, some being more lighthearted like say 7.5 and other like 11 with bigger stakes, same way the fairy manga is lighter than CDS.
>You asked why I liked Touhou, and I answered. Nothing weird here.
But fanworks are not Touhou, they are fanworks.
>I did. The games are fun.
If you only care about the series for its gameplay why are you even in a thread literally called "ZUN and canon".
Unless, of course, you gain knowledge through osmosis like that incorrect use of an outdated quote.
>What does this have to do with my post?
NTA, but it has to do with the fact that the games have the same tone as those "crappy manga".

You seem to have misunderstood my question. I'm sorry if I was unclear.

I know that 人名用 and 日常 are 2 different sets of characters, but both are still decided upon by the government. That is why I asked if the same symbol 外 is used to indicate an "exceptional" usage of the character for non-日常漢字 in particular 人名用.

It just boils down to If I were to learn a kanji for ほとんど which one would be better to choose?

My friend, you misunderstood a simple, one word post, called PMiSS a doujin, and are still trying to save face by calling the other guy an ESL? Just let it lie. And do read the print works while at it. They're actually canon and not doujinshi, like you suggested.

I now understand the "just feel it out" method.
Whether you're right or wrong is irrelevant, as long as you can make sense of what's being said.
Even if you misunderstood the content entirely, guesswork is preferable to looking something up every single time.

I think you misunderstood. I didn't mean he should read the translations. just that it seems less fulfilling to me to read what is translated.

here is food analogy: even most useless person can bake toast in toaster without knowing how to cook, maybe a bit burnt. you look at cook books or cooking shows and see amazing meals but you can't cook them. restaurants are expensive -as opposed to translations taking time- but you want to eat good. you learn how to cook like pro. months or years later you can make best food in world but... you bake same old toast. don't use toaster no more and fry toast in oil in pan with spices and other ingredients. you gone from burnt toast to 3 michelin star toast. is still toast and you eat it every day. maybe toast your favorite food but you don't need cooking classes to make slightly better toast. try better recipes.

In fact I'd even wager that the beginnings of his drama might even be fabricated, as it often happens. You claim there are "haters" so that people go "oh no those villains!" and root for you harder. Happens countless times on the internet. Like I remember some speech on his site where he was imagining someone claiming that a hand sculpt is an obscure racist sign or whatever. Who the fuck is going to say that when 3/4 of your dolls are black? He's got this persona which is a very common and very successful type of persona on the internet, people think you're misunderstood and standing your ground against made-up villains. This also filters any troublesome clients and leaves you with submissive whales who'll accept any bullshit from you. It just works. The best counter to it is to never talk about these people and never even mention them. I'd rather talk about obscure, unpopular makers who are actually worth talking about.
