Is loli shit normalized in JPN or just in the niche otaku subculture?

It's interesting me from a sociological perspective, since here in the west as we all know this shit would not fly at all, and you would risk pitchforks if you even tried 10% of the shit that happens in japan. To say nothing of gravure photoshoots of literal children.

Do you think stories like Train Man and Molester Man are actually real or do you think they're incredibly elaborate (but fun) hoaxes?
I know most people believe Train Man is real and Molester Man is 50/50, but honestly Train Man honestly just plays out weirdly like a J-Drama, where to me, Molester Man actually has far more natural interactions and the fact he doesn't end up who would be considered "main girls" in any j-drama, manga, anime (Loli, Understanding) but instead ends up with Kansai, makes it feel a lot more realistic.
For me Train man 50/50 and while Molester man might be embellished, Molester Man I think is actually largely a completely real story despite having a way more wacky premise.
