It's weird, but by 88 weeks they don't mean 88 x 7 x 24 hours. You can clearly see it says 88 (2200 hours). Which is very strange, because if you do the math then from that they're saying it takes 88 weeks of studying 3.5 hours per day to learn japanese. So, it's kind of unclear what skill level they really mean, since obviously even studying 3.5 hours a day you're not going to be fluent in just a year and a half. But yeah, the assumptiom that they're saying its 14,000 hours can't be correct.
