There's a trend of drawing cute girls as muscular men, but I forgot the general name for it (this is cho_marisa).

I've also seen cute things drawn in a realistic or traditional way, but I guess that's just something a lot of people do (there was one DeviantART user who drew a lot of realistic Pokemon, and they looked scary as hell).

It is actually pretty funny when they do the whole Cho Marisa thing. That takes effort to pull off, though. Simply being a male wearing a female costume usually looks silly, and not in the way the wearer intended.
