srs as a supplement to input and/or output seems to be completely in line with his principles though since you are doing using the remembered info from srs to do the higher level shit from pic rel that he talks about in the follow up vid on "encoding"

you can't really do any of the higher level shit without the initial familiarity with the words/grammar structures which has to be forced into your brain somehow, either quickly & efficiently via srs or very slowly & inefficiently via input-only
