First seems more plausible, since Kasen should be fucking depressed after relapsing back to Douji and Yukari is certain she'll battle anyway when the time comes for the sake of her freedom; though, if Hana would train, there's really no in-universe time for power training, but a mental training to acquire better mental fortitude could help Hana immensely to resist Yukari and understand herself better, even if just a little.
