Ehhh, All the stuff I've written had to do with the HSE, it's implications, and I imagine it's much the same for a few other writers. I would call that a successful spin-off, not really a co-opt. Although I understand being bitter about a fan work not continuing. I got an email two years after I stopped doing a similar thing on /jp/ asking for more. It haunts me that I never followed up on it.

I did it. I got Fiver writers who were broke college students to artistically read all of the lore and write Touhou fanfics.
