"It's a big event, Patchy!" Remilia practically whined. "And I've clearly been responsible for too much of his pain to not be witness to some of his joy." This, she said to me, suddenly sounding less the child that she permanently was, and more the vampire that had lived for hundreds of years. "Perhaps, if I witness this, I may begin to earn forgiveness in your eyes." She sounded...Very serious about it. I was surprised. At least, I was surprised until her eyes flicked to Sakuya. "Was that good?" She muttered under her breath.

"Excellent, mistress." The maid replied, lavishing praise.

"As you can see," Lady Patchouli said, raised her free hand to indicate the crowds past the trees, "There are a lot of people here today. Some that I'm sure you invited, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of them have come of their own volition." There was an intruder, after all. I decided to explain to Lady Patchouli, because she was strong and intelligent, so I hoped that meant that she'd be able to help figure things out. "An intruder...I see. I will not partake in an active search, but I shall certainly do my best to help apprehend them should the opportunity arise." Remilia and Sakuya nodded their approval too.

"Patchy, would you please stop looking at that book? I brought you out of the library; You weren't supposed to bring the library with you!" Remilia was whining again. "Sakuya, tell her!"

"Lady Patchouli." Sakuya Izayoi began. "The mistress has brought you out of the library. You were not supposed to bring-"

"Yes, yes, you're just repeating her. I hear enough repetitious words from Marisa Kirisame, thank you very much." Lady Patchouli grumbled, then closed her book and laid it on the table. "In case you were wondering, I can be here today because I knew that you'd invited Marisa Kirisame, and she would be involved in the proceedings. For once, I do not need to fear that she will take the opportunity to stage an infiltration of my library." I decided not to mention that she'd already asked Tenshi if she felt like doing exactly that. It wasn't likely to be today, at any rate. "As for why I am here...Well, I do not take much joy in large crowds. Remi does, but only when she can be the centre of attention."

"Patchy, that isn't true, and you know it." Remilia told the magician, pointing a finger at her. "I enjoy them regardless of whether I'm the centre of attention." So...It was at least halfway true. "Still, that seemed very like Remilia. "Still, you seem to have come up with an outfit that I daresay I recognize. Don't you think, Sakuya?" She raised an eyebrow at her maid, who stood to attention. The suit appears to be British in style, owing to the three buttons on each sleeve of the suit jacket, and the lack of padding in the shoulders. The British style is built for a wider body shape, which is most likely why it has been chosen over an Italian style. On the pockets-" Sakuya rattled through facts that mostly went over my head. I...Supposed this was Lady Hecatia's influence on Yamame's design.

"Yes, thank you, Sakuya. You can stop now." Remilia finally said, and Sakuya ceased speaking. "So, a western suit. Hmm...You must have gotten help, correct?" Yamame had crafted it, I replied. "Ah, so she must have gotten help, then. No humble Earth Spider knows how to put together specifically a British styled suit." After a moment, I finally conceded that she had been assisted by Lady Hecatia Lapislazuli. "Aha!" Remilia said, her finger now pointed at me. "As I thought." A moment passed silently. "Patchy, who is that?"

"Goddess of Hell. Greek." Lady Patchouli replied shortly, not looking up from her book. "Most likely still receives faith from the Outside World, especially from those in Europe."

I think the whole hooking setup with Firefox and ITHVNR is deterring me from reading. It doesn't take much time but it is kind of annoying to do the whole thing and not being able to just immerse myself in the VN. I think I'll just do without it.
