I think she was just tired of being a vtuber. She wants complete freedom. She talked about how when she played Undertale, people got mad at her for her choices in the game, and how people demanded she do everything on-the-rails and deliver 癒やし all the time.
That said, her personality now is basically the same as Mimi other than being a little more open about her feelings. She even still acts pretty sweet towards her fans. I'm glad that wasn't all some vtuber character.

No tweets from Mimi since TIF started and now she's missing her scheduled stream without notice. I'm guessing this is another mental breakdown.
