it's not a direct reference, I just used him as a foil to our Anon and a way to bond Yamame and Chen, helping the latter deal with the lasting conundrum of the Spider Flan chapter. An homage, if you will, since the KMS is what got me back onto reading fanfic and therefore writing.
Though, if we want to get REALLY silly, maybe something bad as fuck happens at the KMS and Yukari decides to erase most people's memories about Anon like what she did in Osana Reimu, but sparing Yamame; her children and Ran, which I doubt she'd bother to erase the memory of. Would at least explain why Ran and Yamame are friends; Chen was so prompt to like spiders and Yamame's easiness to befriend Chen, as well as testing her.
true, this has more holes than Swiss cheese, but it's funni to imagine the KMS, by the most convoluted shit under the sun, is canon in the HSE.
