I'll repost here, because I feel like it's a decent message that people here should read. A preface: If your oshi is unpopular here, you are their ambassador. Do your best, post well, and show anons how she earned your devotion, and you'll gain respect. I can tell you for a fact; I've done the same with Sora herself here over the months.

You come here and you talk about them. If no one wants to talk to you about them, you start selling them well.
You know who else had to go through that? The Nekkos, and the Omaru-za, and the Architects, and the Haatons, and the Tatsunoko, and the Rose-tai. They all had a huge disadvantage to sell their Holos to people who came with Holomyth, but they stayed around, and they sold their girls, and now people watch and accept them.
There is a bias. That much is foolish to deny. There are a lot of Ame fans and a lot of Gura fans. But Unity is not about pretending bias doesn't exist. Unity is about accepting them as legitimate, and respecting their desire to spread joy to their fans.
If you can't do that, then the answer isn't to cower, to cry foul about a disadvantage, to resort to scampering away to the dark corners of the board. Don't be a rat. Stand tall and love your oshi, even if the world stares back in silence. If your devotion rings true, the world will eventually turn to listen. Now stiffen your back and proclaim your love.

The overseas fanbase is filled with people that have followed Hololive without understand an ounce of Japanese. Sora speaking English is going to be special to them. She can tap into an already existing market in a way no one else can.
