It's not that big of a surprise. Some people are more empathetic than others, they like being emotional and can read them easier on others. Some relate better and it affects them on a deeper level. Others, like you I assume, are more level-headed with their emotions and can listen to someone open up without letting it affect you mentally. It's not a bad thing.
