You need to make at least one purchase to use a Steam ID to chat. Sure, there's a ton of shitty games that are basically free, but using MSN (or, even better, IRC) is a lot easier. The software's better and it's free of cost!

OP, here's some that I've noticed piss people off:

+ Post as "ZUN#merumeru"(the official troll name, used to trick newbies)
+ Greentext
+ Put sage in the name/subject field instead of email
+ Ask how to speak Japanese
+ Ask what anime/manga are good
+ Post a thread with a picture of a pig with the text ">Sudo"
