With Byakuren, there's also just a constant pattern of her being lazy in various ways, such as how all her disciples barely make a token effort to follow Buddhist teachings and how Byakuren, despite being the head priest, makes no effort to correct them, her disregard for how humans in Gensokyo are effectively just cattle, and how her only regret about trying to seal Miko away was that she was not powerful enough to pull it off.
Her entire backstory is that she was a human who was afraid of death and turned herself into a youkai, then started to care about the supposed plight of youkai (i.e. her own kind), and how humans supposedly mistreat them, and even in Gensokyo, where youkai absolutely are top dog, she still only cares about the youkai.

If she was a human trying to bridge relations between humans and youkai I could actually respect her, but since she's a literal race traitor only really concerned with her new friends, she just looks even worse than the other scumbags.
And given everything we know about her, I bet that what actually happened in her backstory was that when she argued for human-youkai coexistence, the people were actually receptive to her words until it became apparent that the youkai she supported didn't change their ways at all and kept killing people, at which point they decided to seal her away because she clearly couldn't be trusted.

Yeah, she's definitely doing a lot of that and not just sitting on her fat arse while her disciples continue to break every Buddhist tenet imaginable and Byakuren just vaguely makes excuses for their behavior when confronted about it, to the point where she's not even bothering to check the "training" Nue supposedly does away from the temple.
The absolutely most charitable interpretation of Byakuren is that she's just incredibly naïve and neglectful, but that only goes so far, and even then, as the head priestess, she is still responsible for the things her disciples do.

Jo'on fucked off a good long while ago and still scams people, even going as far as to throw innocents into the Former Hell of Blood Pool, which is an extremely dangerous place that even the oni of Former Hell don't want to get near. If Yuuma wasn't sending those tourists home because she doesn't want to deal with any trouble, there would likely be many casualties.

I like Byakuren and in a perfect scenario Id marry her and raise a family with her but isn't that impossible? I'm not an expert in Buddhism but isn't not having sex IE giving yourself to your desire for sex one of the more basic rules to follow? Can you even have kids with someone who is Buddhist and it still falls under the guidelines?
I know the meme of her having sex with her followers and her bending rules to make them benefit her but Ignoring that and lets say she actually doesn't is there still a chance?

I don't think it's fair to compare an entire group to one leader, especially since that group is so much bigger and purposefully disparate. You gotta remember that ZUN wasn't that familiar with Taoism when he made TD which is probably why he opted to add more to the familiar Myouren Temple.
I bet if he leveled the playing field with Taoists you'd see a similar level of chaos from them.

She makes no effort to keep any of her followers in check, who are still violent alcoholics who are Buddhists in name only, and Byakuren was also more than okay with trading corpses from the Myouren Temple graveyard to Rin for her services.
Byakuren may present herself as an ally to both humans and youkai, but it's pretty clear she's just helping the youkai at the cost of humanity. There's a reason why she was sealed away, and it's not because she was falsely accused.
