To that end Hana realized that she messed up, but the damage was done and refusing it further at this point was just…! Her mother didn’t react much, simply giving an, “I see, thank you for your help, my guest” with an uncharacteristically tickled voice.

Hana focused on what was at hand and enjoyed the breakfast well enough at least, though after realizing what happened she could hardly make any jab strong enough to hit the mark. She’d just have to endure this embarrassment the rest of the day, then maybe Sanae would have her place ready or they’d even be able to ward off Yukari from her home altogether!

After finishing off the last of her silent brunch Hana gathered up the trays before her mother could stand, it was the least she could do to keep mother playing any more mind games! With a thanks on the lips of Reimu’s briefly surprised face she said with just a bit too much gratitude staining her voice, “Ah, thank you then, you don’t have too of course, and you should rest instead...”

Keeping her voice flat she muttered as she stacked the trays and dishes, “It’s not a problem, just relax while I do the chores and-.“ Hana’s voice hitched as she realized how docile she sounded, “I-In exchange I want you tell me more about my power, its important I get stronger!”

Once again surprise flickered across Reimu’s face, instead of her usual lightly sour expression taking hold again something strange happened; the ever-wrathful miko smiled with a genuine warmth that almost rivaled the room itself. The aproned miko, who sat as still as a tengu chasing a scoop, nodded quickly and agreed, “Of course…! I- how about um, after chores are finished?”

Hana quickly nodded as a strange feeling of dissonance over came her, she carried the trays into the kitchen quickly. She couldn’t wait to leave this place!

A cool design and neat we have a Vengeful Spirit character, but a shame everyone is a retard in CDS. How does Yukari somehow get herself completely taken over, issue red herring orders to Ran and Chen, and nobody including her own Shikigami notice this until after it already moved on? At least we got a nice Reimu reaction.
