I just picked the first recomendation chart I found in my external HD. Maybe this one'll be better (besides, if he wants that /vg/ chart he can go there). Also, Gekkou was pretty fun.

Gigantic VNs can't really be considered entry-level. Entry level means it should be easily accessible and to give you an idea about what the medium is about. I'd rather recommend Planetarian, Saya no Uta and Narcissu. As for what belongs where, I don't know, ask the guy that made this chart in 2009 or 2010. I just post it when people ask for recommendations because this one in my picture would probably scare off people.
