Not OP but I was there today and there was someone bitching about how when a guy makes a shitty (usually crossdressing too) cosplay he is cool or some shit and when a girl does it anyone complains.

I find the whole thing weird as I can't find anything cool about guys who make a shitty cosplay of the opposite gender.

I saw a guy at a convention once, he was a really big dude. He was cosplaying as Hugo from Street Fighter. I had a lot of respect for him, for cosplaying as a character that fit his body, rather than pretending to be Naruto or some shit when he's 300 pounds.
