Is Ikagura worth playing?

Well, Ikaruga appeals to fans of Ikaruga and to people who aren't especially interested in actually playing Ikaruga. It's that kind of a unique shmup.

The first stage of most shmups are usually short, but Ikaruga's first stage should be enough to tell whether you like the polarity switching mechanics or not. If you do like Ikaruga, try out exceed 2nd. It has similar mechanics, and personally, I prefer it to Ikaruga.
