Really, why ARE all the vns about high school kids? It's not like the people playing them are highschoolers, I bet they're close to 30 on average. And I sure as fuck don't want to reminisce about my high school years, shit sucked hardcore. Wouldn't they be better off having viewpoint characters that are a little bit closer to their intended audience?

First problem is that most people who play these don't want to be fapping to 30 year old women, they want teenagers - so highschoolers.

Secondly is well, there's not much to life after education - and most of college is spent being too busy on work to do anything else.

If you really want an eroge where you play a middle aged man and pay the bills, can't afford your mortgage, your waifu is too busy with her job for sex and never in the mood, and you spend 20 minutes on the shitter with nasu-tier writing on how it feels to take a dump, and wake up to a message on your phone saying you were laid off, then go make one yourself.

I've understood that among countries where there actually are schools at all, Japan is pretty much the worst place you can go to school. Rampant bullying, overworked to half death, strict rules etc.

They should make a elementary story VN with 5 year old characters.
