It's funny how you guys are so obsessed with America and the west in general that you think Japan is so influenced by it. In reality Pixiv has been meaning to do this for a while.
In western media spheres we're drop fed jap art and memes but a lot of discourse gets left behind because a lot of people simply can't read Japanese. You know when your fav artist just fucking deletes everything and leaves? If it's not people reposting it's usually fallout between them and other users and they pull no punches. Western artists get nasty with their headcanons too but it's the same in Japan. Cyberbullying is becoming a hot button issue there and I bet a lot of this is essentially a big list of "falls under" harassment policy in case users complain.

https://news.yahoo.co.jp/articles/e00caada9e0b27c85e2a84cdafad4f905159c191
I could translate it manually, but If you throw it into DeepL the only thing it really fucks up is (ironically) the gender pronouns, and that's because in Japanese omitting the subject when context makes it clear is more common than not, unlike Indo-European languages (for the most part).

It's a pretty clear cut case of some upper executive sexually harassing several women over time, them putting up with it for several years, some ladyboy, tranny, or whatever you wanna call them (I'll just agree with you) coming around and getting the same treatment, and was probably given lip service by whatever Human Resources they have and the dude kept up with it because of no consequence. So the ladyboy put up with it until the point they could get clear photographic evidence of being molested by the dude so they had a clear cut case for the inevitable shitstorm that would ensure, and then taking it court, causing an HR fiasco that warranted the response.
This cookie-cutter story has occurred thousands of times over many decades, ever since HR departments were empowered to prevent lawsuits like this, with only the exact characters and dialogue being a bit different.

I'm not even arguing that there isn't a grand scheme to take whatever art content and scene you like away from you, because I can't predict the future.
But I'm not seeing the connection between that boring-ass sexual harassment case beyond it taking place at pixiv. And the dude being based enough to go for ladyboys as well just places it in the 2020s rather than the 2000s or earlier. If I could, I would bet good money this is as much of a nothingburger as that thread about dlsite circle responsibility clarifications a few months ago. If you even remember that.

I personally create and keep backups and host some for things I feel strongly about, at a personal cost even, for that reason as well.
If there's one thing I have to say about threads like these:

IF YOU ARE NOT MAKING SURE, PREEMPTIVELY, THAT WHATEVER YOU PREDICT WILL BE TAKEN AWAY FROM IS EITHER SECURE IN YOUR PERSONAL, PRIVATE POSSESSION, OR WHATEVER SCENE YOU LIKE IS BEING PROVIDED ALTERNATIVES, THE VALIDITY OF YOUR PREDICTION IS OF LITTLE VALUE OR CONSEQUENCE.
NOT BECAUSE IT ISN'T TRUE, BUT BECAUSE IT IS A TRUTH YOU DO NOT VALUE ENOUGH TO ACT UPON.

It's like knowing all the greatest stocks to buy beforehand and not buying them, or at least working on getting the means to do so. Assuming simply making it known is some ensurer of it not coming to be, or someone else fulfilling your desire, is a fool's errand. Because it might actually be that everyone besides you is more the fool and will expect the same.

I just see it as Human Resources covering their asses because the lawsuit they raised has enough teeth to warrant it and the person who ultimately filed was tranny.
Consider that If the people weren't all Japanese or Asian (not specified but likely the case) there would probably be references to preventing ethnic or racial discrimination as well.

It's like nearly everyone who jumps into thread is only capable of fitting this into some grander cultural and political war, rather than it just being another byproduct of pixiv not being a well-run company.
