You gotta get it to search for hooks and in the 30s you have you gotta get the text box you want translated to update.
For EraTW you'd best dl eraTWclipboard, it makes the process 100x easier and is pretty much automatic.
When you do get hooks into the game, you then have to search through them all manually until you find the memory address that the text output is stored in.
If it contains text art though... say goodbye to your PC, because it's gonna take off as it tries to translate twenty lines of garbage text.

I should rephrase;
For eraTW download eraclipboard and don't attach sugoi to anything, since it'll be translating from the clipboard. You might have to fiddle around with the settings on eraclipboard, and you are going to have to manually tell it what lines to translate, since images are loaded with japanese in them the jap filter can't tell it apart from genuine text, and anything over one line will require you to click on the window to advance the next line.
You can wait for it to translate a whole paragraph at once, but it takes a while and sometimes it spergs out (Particularly when aheagao effects are involved) or it misses a line entirely.

Sugoi also isn't close to being 100% accurate, and sometimes knowing a little hiragana can help you take a guess at what it's having trouble with.
For example; Aya's name never comes out with "Aya", the best you'll get is "Fumi", and a lot of the time it's "the letter", this is just down to the fact that the machine can't handle context all that well and doesn't know about alternate readings and proper nouns that shouldn't be translated as regular nouns.
If there's one upside to all it's quirks though, it's that you gain a decent knowledge on how the japanese language is sometimes retarded and spergy, and it's usually obvious enough that you can work out everything by reading things phonetically and/or rearranging the output a little.

It's a simple program that detect japanese kanji and send them and only them into sugoi, it greatly improve the translations process.
Also sugoi translator online sometimes need to be re-openned 2 or time before working.

My main play style is "Kiss only after they give you their first kiss, sex only after you're lovers/love" which is a lot harder when most girls tend to push you down halfway through the yearning phase, I've gotten to the point where I implemented the ability checks to be pushed down to prevent unwanted sex, so I'd really like Eiki's restrictions to be a global toggle.

There was no change to Eiki's scripting. Her serious mode and her pushdown restriction has been part of her code from the very beginning.
The issue that led to this code to not work correctly for a couple months in the English version was due to FLAGSETTING not being called correctly, which meant that these flags would not be set correctly for anyone who started playing on that version. This same bug also broke stuff like Suwako's curses, and all the unique time stop dialogue. This bug eventually got fixed and this meant that Eiki's code would run correctly again, thus preventing pushdowns in serious mode without an appropriate fall state.
