There's the ROB THE JEWGOLDS mode, which entails going to the Verband (the very first map you grind on) on the nation of choice and robbing their altar of Aika of all their valuable ores which they've collected as well as their funds.

There are 3 Guard Stones which are labeled on the map and are active for only 2 hours (per day?). They must be destroyed before you can tear into the altar. Not only that, but you must also deal with a horde of guards at the altar.

MMOs lack lots of cities and maps and dungeons nowadays. Also before instances, you could meet people in dungeons. Though RO dungeons were just fields.

RO also had the best battle system. You could auto attack, but it was that you had to push the special button and then click an enemy, not just stay locked onto one. You could also kill like 20 enemies at once. MMOs pander to much to people who whine about kill stealing and item taking.

ROs graphics kind of piss me off though nowadays. I hope RO 2 is reborn as a 3d clone of RO 1 with story and quests. And loli homunculi.

They're asleep with master when you log off. Since the server is wiped that means all prans and players join Aika in heaven and await their return to the world. Logging off for huge periods of time means that both pran and master sit in town drinking coffee in a high class cafe until they're ready to go out fighting again for the good of the world. This is why when you log off for months your characters haven't starved to death while you are away. They're just waiting, sitting in a cafe together, bored.

Nope, that was Neverwinter Nights, I think. Ultima Online was neither new nor original. It was merely the WoW of its time.

Aika has too many shitty skills that no one uses(no skill build variety) and grinding for crafting items makes no sense in a quest-based system. They should just make repeatable crafting item quests.

Questing is also repetive and involves running back and forth the quest area->NPC too many times.

Rifleman skills are basically spam countdown->hollowpoint->1 pt in legshot/stealth until you get to tier 2.

Although legshot does decent damage so can be useful since hollowpoint has a long cooldown.

The grind really isn't that bad.
If the cap level is at 70 and most of the people got to 40+ in 2weeks during CB it is an easy breezy grind.

Problem would be if Gpotato decided to increase the grind increasing the # of mobs to kill, the grind will be significantly higher.

been trying various builds out and i've skill resetted quite alot of times already
depending on what style of rifleman you want to play, there are quite a variety of builds where you max different skills

btw you can have up to 3 characters, and there is a class change item and when you use it, your class levels are retained, so if you switch back to the old class you'll be at your old level

the system requirements listed are highly exaggerated, if you can run aika, you should be able to run FEZ without any problems
there WILL be a server wipe at the end of OB1, there will NOT be a wipe after OB2, we may or may not switch to another nation for OB2 as OB1 only has 2 nations open

Yeah while the Nation vs. Nation stuff was fairly fun in Aika, it was still pretty much just a free-for-all for the most part (though our guild coordination was certainly better) - and even when orders were given they were rarely followed, heh. It would be more fun if we could coordinate larger group tactics - like massive coordinated AoE batteries and ambushes - but that's probably too much to hope for.
