I fucked up on the N2 and only scored 65 points, it was filled with tricks and turns. I don't want to screw up next time.

My new year's resolution is to read a series raw and start writing paragraphs at least once a week.
>I write down every word I find ten times
>wrote the entirety of vocabulary of speed master goe n2 last year
>have some flashcard app I found on a random youtube video last year. I use it everyday and write down words if I didn't remember them ten times.

>found a website with alot of raw manga
>attend weekly speaking events for Japanese language
What more can I do? It's already mid February

There are no tricks and turns in the N2. You either knew the content and have the ability to answer the questions in time or you didn't. You didn't.
Read content covering a variety of topics to ensure your vocabulary is not focused on just one area.
Read books. You need to be comfortable reading long enough blocks of text in a short period of time to pass the reading section.
Listen to news broadcasts.
Flashcards are fine but they shouldn't be your primary form of studying.
Writing and production are not part of the test. If you're studying just to pass the N2, you don't need to focus on these.

I got 86 points.
It was my first JLPT test, so I wasted a ton of time on the 読解 part because I didn't know you were suppose to do it fast.
Stupid mistake, really.

yes the fuck there was, slight misspelling or slightly incorrect answers on the listening.

>>46121796
yeah, that's the part I ran out of time on. Next time I will do that one first.

>slight misspelling
guarantee you there were no misspellings lmfao
just face the fact that you suck at japanese
and its because none of the "methods" you listed involve anything that would make you better at it
next time try READING AND LISTENING TO REAL JAPANESE
like a lot

Quick question, you mean reading a whole raw series per week, right?

N2 taker here. I only got a 111, but at least I passed.
I also ran out of time because I didn't bother studying for the exam until the night before and didn't have time to do a mock exam to prepare myself.
The reading section's difficulty increase compared to N3 was quite unexpected for me. I ended up putting down random answers for 7 questions (which I got lucky to get 2 corrects on), but I completely lost my head during the listening section because for some reason I thought the reading section was only a total of 15 questions and there is no way I'm getting a 20/60 on that section (It turned out there was 20 questions and I got 40 something on reading).
Anyway, it was a shitty experience overall but I have no one but myself to blame since I didn't bother to prepare myself.

>yeah, that's the part I ran out of time on. Next time I will do that one first.
This is a mistake. you can very easily lose the track of time and waste all your time on the reading section, leaving not enough time to answer the language knowledge section which is the "point earner" section of the exam.
Correct strategy is to rush through the goi section to leave as much time as possible to dokkai. Don't make my mistake of wasting too much time on the "fill in the space marked with star" type grammar questions.
Also, the last few reading questions with flyers/schedules are very easy to do fast, do them first.
It's also generally better to skim through 2 reading passages and trying to guess the answers rather than fully reading 1 passage, if you feel like you are running out of time.

Reason being he didn't engage and consume real Japanese or when he did, he was using English subtitles.

Ah yes, so this is why their are so many mistranslations
