Nice shares. Many of these artists are posted here at one point or another, with the exception of some of the jrock stuff. Those songs probably get more traction on the regular music thread. Also, jpop and vocaloid just tends to get covered more often, so it is posted and discussed more. I don't think we've talked about Haru Nemuri much but harutosyura is definitely an album I would recommend to anyone. Some of these artists like Wolpis, PSYQUI, Such, Nanahira, Tsukuyomi are posted regularly. Wolpis has an album coming out next week. TUYU is discussed less recently but only because he has been threatening to stop making music and is being dramatic.

Yeah kiyono/f9 is kind of just inactive. There's no notice or anything of the sort. She did some guest vocals about 1.5 years ago. If you're totally new to her you could check out this playlist since plenty was guest vocals or never got proper youtube releases. Just don't expect anything new. What's the difference between what you are talking about (Idol Promotion Anime) vs something like Love Live, Idolmaster, or Bang Dream? Is there any? I feel like at their core, these are all about the same thing.
Don't underestimate how popular something like Love Live is in Japan. I mean even going back to Macross, what I would say is the original Idol Promotional Anime, well they WALKURE can still fill a stadium for a large event. The ones I mentioned are fairly "original" or not tied to any big franchise. I think they're marketing these productions more for the general audience than a niche otaku thing like what you mentioned, hence the movie format. They have a general appeal and a seemingly above-average production value (Girls Band Cry is arguable if you are an autist but it looks good to me). The new push feels weird to me because it all showed up in roughly the same year. There's something or someone fueling this because it feels a lot. Or I'm living in a bubble where all I care about are these productions.

As an example of a standalone idol movie, Belle was the third highest grossing film of 2021. I guess it still counts as new, but it started production over 5 years ago at this point.
Girls Band Cry is just a TV show, not a movie. What's the difference between Girls Band Cry and the other ones? You say not tied to a big franchise, but both Girls Band Cry and Love Live are corporate projects, not starting from one dude's manga. The only reason it doesn't have spinoffs and mobile games is because it's not popular yet.
Idol media in general is just super popular.
