Original G15 Blue backlight is the only option if you're a serious VN reader, I can push out more dialogue in a second than you can in an hour with my G15.

We don't use keyboards, you horrible nerd, we use our fingers. Have fun with that toy on the pic, I'll continue to use my ancient Microsoft keyboard to 1cc all Touhous on Lunatic.

My friend has one of those mechanical keyboards, it feels real good to type with but I figure it's one of those things where you won't give a shit until you get used to the nice keyboard, and then you'll find yourself unable to stand typing with a normal keyboard again. In other words, it'll only serve to make it harder for you to type on normal keyboards.

Ooh, I love how that looks. I generally love simplicity in electronics, and you can't get much simpler than that - in fact, I choose my current keyboard(~30$ Logitech wireless which is surprisingly good) because it didn't have any unnecessary shit stuck on it.

I use a 3 dollar keyboard, 1 dollar mouse, and a number of shitty 20 dollar 1024x768 monitors mounted on monitor arms.

I live a pretty dirty life, and the area around my computer is usually littered with shredded tissues, beer cans, garbage, etc. I consider keyboards, mice, etc., disposable items, which is why I buy only cheap ones so I can replace them every few months or so when they get too sticky with spilled beer, food, cum, etc.

If I bought a nice keyboard or mouse I'd just end up cursing myself when I broke it.

I love the minimalism. Cleaning is very easy. With the way Cherry MX switches are designed there's no real reason to actually clean the mechanical parts. Just pop the key caps with a tool (or dental floss if you're cheap) take a damp cloth to it.

Scissor switches are shit. They break easily and there's no true N-key rollover with laptops. The tactile feels serves no purpose for games and you can get incredibly low force mechanical switches anyways. Cherry MX blacks are superior in every way.

At first I found the force required for blacks somewhat uncomfortable but I don't notice it anymore. I had the browns first and back then I used my pinky finger to control focus movement but with the blacks I now use my ring finger (it just feels to be the "stronger" finger, helpful for the heavier switch). I absolutely love the linear feel while playing.
The browns are really nice as well, but I just prefer the linear feel for gaming. Browns feel much more comfortable for typing however.

I use a Saturn pad, or when I'm in the mood, my arcade cab.

For doujin games I think a pad or stick is more plausible. I don't think ZUN even uses sticks, despite him working with Taito. His favorite game is Darius Gaiden though, so I don't know.

I also remember some shit years ago where he said that he wouldn't release any games unless he was capable of beating the maximum difficulty. I don't know why he doesn't play Cave stuff.

I've had this keyboard since January 2007, back then I didn't even go to /g/.

The G15 is a great keyboard, that's fact. It was marketed towards gamers, that's also a fact, but just because it was doesn't mean it's a piece of shit, I know there's plenty of gimmicky stuck out there (MadCatz etc), but the G15 is quality, not just LED's tacked on some cheap chinese keyboard.

Until it broke, I had an Ideazon (now SteelSeries) Zboard. Once I get my new tower, I'm going to get a SteelSeries Merc. I just like playing with larger arrow keys and knowing where all the weapon swap buttons are without any danger of bringing up the fucking console when I want to switch to primary on Steam games.

I use a Logitech gamepad for Touhou games, and my wireless mouse's scroll wheel for VN's...or the fucking enter key.

I have used a dual setup before, but only when I wanted to have access to my computer and watch some anime at the same time. Every other time I have things in multiple tabs or reduced. It's really not that bothersome since I tend to not have 20 different programs at once, and only 3 browser tabs at the most opened up.

I prefer my keyboard to have a good shape than to click nicely - I've used a mechanical keyboard before, and I wasn't massively enthused about the feel of it.

What's the point of extra tactile feedback? I typed this with my eyes closed, and at no point did I feel the need to check whether or not a key press had gone through properly.
