FACT: When you were between the ages of 8-13, you used a Japanese name or alias online in forums, AIM, and other internet related things.

You cannot refute or deny this, for it is true.

>> No.6415240

I used to troll the fuck out of AOL Nintendo chatroom, I have absolutely no regrets

>> No.6415238

My family didn't have a computer when I was 8-13

>> No.6415242

Nope.

>> No.6415249

FACT: When OP turns 13, he'll still be mad.

>> No.6415250

I do now, mostly with "Kawaii" in the name so I can play off my patheticness as a joke even though it's not

>> No.6415251

i can it was 1990-1995 at that time internet wasnt very existent nor was the jp culture

>> No.6415257

My first nickname was Junker so you're argument is invalid. Also, I hated japs and all otaku-related stuff back then.

>> No.6415258

Yeah, and now I use a touhou names on forums.

>> No.6415259

Actually, no. I used names of my own creation. Coincidentally, they ended up being other things, because it's hard to create a small word with the english alphabet that hasn't been used elsewhere. I interchanged these names. First it was a four letter one. Then a different five letter one. Then a different six letter one. Another different sex letter one. Then it was a five letter one that's actually a real name, but not my own real name, just a real name I thought would be nice as a first name for my Oblivion character and I continued using it. Now I don't use any names, and when I must sign up to places, I use silly names that any old normal could come up with. None of the names I mentioned are Japanese. At least the way I pronounced them. There was actually one name that people thought was a from an anime, I hadn't seen any anime at the time except like sailor moon and dragon ball z. I later did watch that anime. The character isn't one I would name myself after.

Yeah I based it on this lovely lady.
I always just lurked forums my whole life and almost never posted until I found 4chan at age 19

I did, because I have a japanese name because I am japanese.

I always hated people who based their names on 'otaku culture' things, still do. I alt+f4 a game where I see that.

>> No.6415273

>>6415270
Get the fuck out, Japanese scum.

>> No.6415277

I still use random character names, and this was years before 4chan. To be fair though, now it's TOUHOU NAME TOUHOU NAME TOUHOU NAME only. Back then I had variety.

I got my first real account on anything when I was 10, which is 10 years ago now. It was my msn address, I still use it today. You can't even spell it in Japanese.

You remember inuyashasgirlfriend1997? Yeah, that was me. 1997. And you're still mad.

Throw in some Seihou names for variety.

That's extremely improbable.

>> No.6415309

I named myself after anime on adult swim, like Lupin or FLCL

>> No.6415313

Internet didn't exist yet when I was this young. I am not 16 like OP. Also ban OP for being underage.

>> No.6415318

I wasn't really that into Japanese stuff until high school. I read a bit of manga when I was that age, but it was secondary enough to my other habits and I kept my screen name pretty bland. Which isn't to say being a Nintendo fanboy is much better.

>> No.6415320

>>6415313
your 40 or something

>> No.6415324

OP here. I'm 21. Quit being mad.

>> No.6415325

AIM didn't exist when I was 13, and outside of usenet, nor did any sort of internet forum.

I do not remember ever using a Japanese related name or alias for anything on a BBS. I think I have used the same name, however, since my BBS days.

I think you mean the world wide web didn't exist when you were 16, or to use a less gay term, the internet as we know it didn't exist.

Unless you're really fucking old, I mean so old you could be the father of someone who grew up with astroboy.

When I was 8...
-The Soviet Union had just broken up.
-The upcoming US presidential election was George H.W. Bush vs. Bill Clinton.
-The SNES had just come to north america, and so began my vidya addiction.

When I was 13....
-President Clinton had just won re-election.
-lol SNES all day, apparently this stuff comes from Japan or something.
-Internet still 3 more years away for me.

>> No.6415358

It is, in fact, not true.

I didn't start doing that until I was 16.

>> No.6415361

That would make him 53, which I think is quite a bit older than the oldest age anyone has claimed to be on here.

>> No.6415364

When I was between the ages of 8-13, I didn't even use the Internet, because my mother was strict about that subject. And I am thankful for that.

>> No.6415372

But I used a Starcraft nick, and anime fandom wasn't on such large scale as it is nowadays so the chance of me or someone else using anime nick was kinda nil back in those days.

>> No.6415374

My parents were ignorant to it back then. They assumed I used it for "games".

Oh how I am scarred for life. I might not be a loser if I had grown up without it

>> No.6415383

You know, I think the fact I became this might be partially because I didn't actually grow up with video games. I didn't even have a TV until I was like 7, me and my siblings just made our own fun. I had played nes and later snes, but all at friends' houses and always dreamed of having my own. Then I did get my own. n64 was my first console. Then it all went downhill
