Quick question. I am playing AT3 right now and got the third Reyvateil but she joined my party at level 60. My party is at level 50 right now aside from her. Am I underleveld or is she just overleveled on purpose? Right now I can take out mobs on the Clustania District but I have to use song magic to do so... however I havent really had problems with any bosses or battles. Thanks.

The english VA can be very painfull to listen to at times and even when it isn't it's just average. There's no actor so good or scene so well done that would motivate anyone to favor the english dub, it's all between 'very bad' and 'ok'.

Finally got AT3 recently. A couple of questions;

1) Does having 3 heart points only give an extra scene in the ending, a few conversations and determines when they confess? I want to try to get all of the endings while minimizing how much I have to replay. I know similar questions have been asked before, but I didn't see anything in the last two threads.

2) Does each body only have one song? I don't know if I'm missing something related to hyumas, but it feels like they gutted the reyvateil system. Kind of strange that I'm actually using items to heal for once.

What happened to that guy doing vectors of the reyvateils' install ports? Last one I saw from him before I went on vacation was Frelia's one.

As far as I remember, hymn crystals aren't installed by inserting them into the ports, but rather by reciting the install command and downloading them into the RT.

3HP gives you an extra scene in late phase 3. That's the only difference. The optimal way to get all endings is to give 3 points to a girl, get normal/true end for her, NG+ from phase 2, give 2 points to the other girl, make an alternate save before getting the third point, give the third port to the other girl, get the normal ending, reload, give the third to the first girl, then don't lock in any girl until you make the satellite, at which point you make an alternate save and reload to that after you get each of the other true endings.

I also liked the music that plays when you're at the top of the tower and the background is space... Ku/The Rinkernator. One of my favorite dungeon themes in the game, I think it's just so relaxing but at the same time somewhat dramatic because it sounds like a final dungeon theme.

All right, now that I've finished AT3, saved the planet, saved my servant and cried many manly tears at the end (I really loved Ec Tisia and how they included the OPs of all the games into it), I have a question regarding the branching point in Mocheriel:

What happens if you don't stop Saki from singing Alfage? That was my original choice (since I love the song and didn't want it to stop ...) but when Saki vanished from Finnels Cosmosphere, I reloaded and chose to stop her.

Do you get a bad end if you don't stop her?

Stopping Saki puts you on the 'normal end' path. The girl you didn't give 2 or 3 heart points to dies, some stuff happens, then Raphael goes "lol it was all Harvestasha's fault" and you go to Ku and fight her. Then Aoto and his chosen girl live happily ever after. Well, until the world is destroyed, but that's not outright stated in the ending.

The "bad end" actually happens if you *do* stop Saki, but fail to beat MYU in the time limit- you fight Ar Ru like normal, Saki and Finnels' conditions take a turn for the worse, so you decide to take another shot at the Rinkernator, but you can't get back in and Saki and Finnel both die.

That brings to mind, I felt Suzunomia was rather shafted in terms of character development.

Once you finally obtain her, after the initial backstory introduction she ended up getting little if any attention. Even Sakia was built on throughout the game, but by the end I felt I hardly got to know Suzunomia at all.

That, and there's like hardly any art of her. Isn't it sad?

That's part of the problem with the Cosmosphere/Story segregation cropping up again. If you give them too much development in Story, then you run into problems with reveals and literary devices in the Cosmosphere, and vice versa. AT1 ran into this with uncomfortable frequency. AT2 did a relatively good job with this by keeping the first two heroine's Cosmospheres relatively segregated and saved the scenes for both of them for the Infelsphere, which was hard locked to the story progression. AT3, however, dug the problem back up with the multiple personalities, necessitating a reduction in Story coverage of the last personalities to save their big reveals and hooks for the Cosmosphere.

Damn shame, too, as I liked them both quite a lot.

When did Tyria build the third tower? I know that Ar Tonelico was well over 700 years ago, and that Frelia was in the process of building the second tower when the Grathnode Inferia hit, but it was never really explained when the Tower of Harvestasha went up.

I think the real problem with Finnel, as in why anyone would have a problem/initially write her off, lies in the balancing of the story. Saki gives a much stronger impression of "main heroine" than Finnel during the early stages of the game, while Finnel on the other hand comes off more as a "supporting character".

We are hardly given reason to care about Finnel for most of Phase 1, and even during Phase 2 there are long sections where she is gone from the party or just a fixture. Much time is spent on "Saki this" "Saki that" "rescue Saki" "hide Saki", and it isn't until the latter half of Phase 2, and Phase 3, where Finnel really begins to gain importance on her own.

Long story short AT3 is totally wracked with balancing issues across the scale.

It's not a matter of him being 'dumb', the game just has extremely bad progression scaling. You can obtain costumes for Adult Misha extremely early on in the story when there's no information regarding her circumstances. This is the reason Ar Tonelico 2 and 3 have limits in place to stop you from going too far into a cosmosphere and interacting with characters you've never met etc.

Agreed. AT1 was simply horrible with how easy it was to hit cosmosphere levels with topics far beyond where you were in the actual main plot line.

AT2 was pretty good in that respect in tying talk topics to certain phases to prevent jumping ahead, but I recall Cloche's Cosmosphere Level 2 was touching on topics slightly before they were revealed in the main plot.

Pretty much one of the two expected results at that point in the game. You either can't stand Cloche, or you hate Luca with all your being. It makes the Infelsphere all the more awesome.

Word of warning, Cosmosphere Level 5 is the lock out zone for the endings, so you may want to hold off on making a decision until you've gotten the 3rd reyvateil.

Once you figure out the sister can't be dead because they dwell too much on her character, it was easy to spot who she was.
