Isn't it about time they got that bug fixed themselves?

Usage instructions:
1. Delete the lcsebody.exe that came with your game
2. Rename harem_party.exe (or harem_party_cpu_usage_fix.exe) to lcsebody.exe. The game won't work without renaming the file.

Make sure to run it in english system locale. Only tested lightly.
Using the wrong locale or an old exe, may break the word wrapping.

To uploader: Why did you replace the exe in your final release with the one from another game? Are your leechers so stupid that they can't replace a single exe?
Even if it worked, there could always be problems with using exes and cracks from other games, I would urge you to at least include the original exe renamed.
If I would have come at a different time, I would be robbed of the ability to make a crack as you would have replaced the file by then.
I would be less frustrated(insert Kircheis picture here) if it was a proper crack, but it wasn't even an exe from the same game. It worked because the engine wasn't too different, but there are a few small changes that you could find by comparing the 2 exes code. Even if you don't care about my opinion, at least do it for the sake of having a complete release: keep the original exe or at least rename it if you think your leechers are too stupid to install a crack.

It is by definition not a proper crack as it's an exe which was from another game. It might or it might not work, it's just luck if it does. I could try wasting some time to see what the exact differences are, but why should I waste my time? I already wasted enough time making a proper crack which will most likely only be used by very few people. A crack made from the original exe is guaranteed to work as long as the cracked did its job. One is a bet, the other is almost certainty.

If you dislike my proper cracks so much, I could always stop making them and all you'll be left is workarounds or "solutions" by Cudder. If they decide to use something other than BGI or lcsebody, you're probably going to resort to using the japanese exe and copying the text to it which will take days.

My opinion doesn't even matter that much, what matters is that egdev should include the original exes in his upload and if he doesn't want to because his leechers are stupid, at least include the renamed original exe.

Partly. We also had a ton of experience with BGI from the Higurashi days (Kaibrid et. al.). They can keep changing the EXE and the first-level code but the 2nd level (where the VN scripts are) has remained almost unchanged since then. It makes sense, because their VN toolchain would have to be modified every time the 2nd level changed. Incidentally that also makes the other fixes for Higurashi applicable to other VNs running the hybrid. [Imagine if Java programs only worked with the EXACT version of JVM they were compiled for.]

There was no dump, but the engine was BGI and Cudder has tools for that so he just ported Edelweiss version 2 to version 1 which has a crack.
If anyone does wish to provide a dump of the temporary exe when running the activated Edelweiss exe, I'm sure you'd get a single exe proper crack from any of /jp/'s crackers, it's not even time-consuming, it's very simple to make it for that old protection, as long as the dump is provided.
