...Why soldiers during war? I remember Iraq being very boner-inhibiting during my time there. Unless you like to fap to burned up bodies or chicks covered in veils that smell like donkey shit.

>> No.8453360

>>8453345
Probably one of my more hated parts of basic. Though really, that was pretty much the only time we ever had to do that shit. Even in Iraq they would have each shower walled off from the other one and with curtains and shit so you at least had some privacy.

Though to be honest, it wasn't like dudes were trying to look at each other anyway, and it damn sure encouraged getting in and out of there quickly.

"Ten men raped one girl. There were not enough women; the entire population ran from the Soviet Army. So we had to take young, twelve or thirteen year-old. If she cried, we put something into her mouth."

Soldiers raping the women (including children) of the areas they conquer has been a tradition followed since prehistory.

Believe it or not, people of all backgrounds are a part of this culture.

>>8453367
That's humans. Not just soldiers. People will do just about anything if they think there are no repercussions. During my time in, no one really did anything fucked up like we always got accused of; Everyone knows the 'rules' of war and it's pretty damn rare to actually find someone WILLING to do crazy shit anyway. Of course, people that have no connection to the military and are willfully ignorant of the fact that soldiers are human beings too like to just assume that we are animals or drones.

>> No.8453415

>>8453401
Why would you even want to join the military?

Just get autism bucks or something.

>> No.8453425

>>8453401
But soldiers are just drones and animals. If you weren't a drone/animal you wouldn't have joined the military in the first place.

You're not fighting for any ideal you're just a government dog.

>> No.8453451

>>8453401
Yes, the soldiers of 1st world countries are much less likely to engage in such activity; the same doesn't necessarily apply to soldiers of other countries though. And I'd say soldiers are in a unique position to commit such violence as they hate their enemies, desire revenge/rewarding and have the numbers and weapons that allow them to do as they please.

Why not? I got to see the world, make some crappy but decent pay along the way, some world experience, discipline, got in shape, and I went to war for 15 months to at the very least back up what I believed in instead of talking a big game like most people.

Whether ya consider it right or wrong I guess is simply your opinion, and that's cool. Not exactly rare to get bombarded by critics that don't -really- know what we do anyway. There will always be bad apples in ANY job you go to work in; Unfortunately that can be lethal in the military.

I have mixed feelings about my time in service, but that's to be expected: There were good times, normal times, and absolute shit times. But for it all, I got to learn a LOT about people and why they do the things they do. I think the stereotype about soldiers being idiots is really unfair; Most of the smart people I've met were in the service.

Not saying we are better than civis or anything, as people are people, just saying that we tend to have better access to 'out there' than most. People really take for granted the kind of experience and wisedom you can pick up when you deploy all over the place or use your free-floating funds and easy access to transportation for recreational tourism (Especially if you're stationed in Europe like I was.).

But I digress, I'm veering a bit off topic. I joined for a lot of personal reasons, and I also believe it is good for young, capable men to join the armed forces both during good and shit times. If not for their country, than at least for themselves; The Army will help you grow up a lot if you take it seriously and don't fuck off the whole time, and if you aren't careful you just might actually end up a better person because of it all. At the very least, you don't take the luxuries of western quality of life for granted any more.

Mmm, try harder, bro. I've heard it all a million times. Animals, drones, dogs, jack-booted thugs, the whole nine yards. I used to get a little butt-mad about that stuff when I first joined, but really, after a few years ya kinda just..laugh at it. I mean, you guys have no clue what you're even talking about.

Just more obnoxious and opinionated punks that can only act that way behind the safety of the internet.

Some of you guys kill me with the crap you post. I mean, you don't gotta agree with the war or anything, but to say that it's some kind of one-sided and cruel affair? Grow up.

Lol, kid, do you even know what J.A.M is? If not, then you're just blowing stuff out of your ass for the sake of trolling or genuine ignorance about the war.

Gonna go ahead and stop feeding the troll. Thanks for the discussion, guys, even if it was completely off-topic.
