Why has there been a huge uptick in Twitter/にわか threads in the last four days or so? Did something happen? Are we getting raided? Is it all over?

>> No.36313055

A lot of bad people became aware of /jp/ ever since *that* happened. And as for why there has been so many shit threads lately, that underageb& is probably getting mad likes on his screenshots and his followers also want to get included in those pics.

Where have you been? It's been steadily getting worse and worse for months now. You can't set the bar any lower than frogs and wojak's at this point since we already have /pol/ shit and other unrelated garbage seeping in.

The days of taking it easy are long gone. And it wasn't even a slow death. Feels like it all happened in a flash.

The worst effect of this stuff is that it makes the regulars way too paranoid, so making any thread that goes a little out of the norm will get you flooded in "twitterfag" accusations, even if you aren't one.

No, anon is right, during the last 4 days we broke the record of Twitter threads in a week, I wonder if it was just luck or if some outsider is shilling /jp/.

Stick around for a little while and you'll quickly see what everyone's been complaining about. /jp/ is nothing like it used to be. Though there's still sporadic pockets of threads and stubborn oldfags around that try to yell some sensibility into our new arrivals.

The problem right now is that we have: The holdovers who came here from the drama around December, the recent influx of crossboarders (just look at the "DIY fumo" thread commissioning out Taliban dolls and the obvious crossboarder memes being posted in that thread) and last but not least a Twitter account with a few thousand followers who decided stealing posts from /jp/ and retweeting them would be his ticket to popularity, which, again, brings in even more unwanted retardation and now the guy is practically as infamous as obnoxious tripfags from years ago.

The mods are all over the place too, who even knows what's up with them anymore. A whole bunch of anons randomly got rangebanned from posting images a few days ago, which can seemingly be bypassed by not using Firefox? And blatant porn can go for days without being deleted. Though at least they still delete the retarded /pol/ idiocy and buzzwords that keep popping up.

Seems like we can't catch a break this year.

97% of them are either (modern)4likes, 8likes, their own breed of cancer entirely, or r*ddit/d*scord/tw*tter derivatives
2% are not, but are so slow one may not see a reply in days, at best
1% are neither, managing to keep a consistent and decent speed while retaining quality by staying between a close-knit group of acquaintances, but then nobody knows about them and it stays that way
i don't think a healthy (english) board can even exist anymore on the internet. maybe i'll just stop using it for discussion entirely

While there are other boards frequently raiding /jp/, like /qa/ and /bant/, I believe that the recent spam is made by posters in the Touhou Lost World general. There was a steep decline in post quality when the English version was released, and it has only degenerated over time.
That thread is filled with twitter people, crossboarders, and other users who don't know what should be posted on /jp/.

Fumos and that twitter account are probably a big part of the problem as well.

>>36312580
>Is it all over?
Yeah but there'll always be smatterings of old /jp/ left. Each smattering will slowly vanish as it becomes unable to keep up with the board speed, like the beloved train threads.
>>36332141
You're zooming in too far instead of seeing the bigger picture. Things like what you listed are just "sparks" that contribute to speeding up the board and destroying it, there's nothing individually responsible except for what hololive did and 4chan decaying in general. Interesting point about Lost Word though, I hadn't thought about that before.
