Today's DVD review: Hiraoka Natsuki's "Scandalous baby". With her cute face and well-formed body, she is the current ace of 369, a label that's famous for its extreme close-ups of certain body parts. Needless to say and as is evident by the screencaps, this DVD does not only live up to my expectations in that regard, but it also surpasses them in all other aspects. I bought this DVD together with one of her more recent ones, "Under control" (which I haven't watched yet), and judging by the sample movies for both, I though this one would be kinda tame in comparison. But oh boy, was I wrong. This is a masterpiece that I'll make sure to rewatch once every few months and if "Under control" is as good or better, Natsuki will probably earn the honors of being named one of my favorite Chaku Ero model of all times.

Hey, you need to check something out for me (if you have the time)! Please have a look at the sample I linked below. It contains the first two minutes of one of the new DVDs that I just tried to encode (+ the script I used, in case it matters). As you can see, the framerate is all over the place, but it's like that in the source .VOBs too. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Note that not all parts of the video are like this, it's mostly the first half hour that's problematic.

Also, another problem I encountered, different DVD this time. Rips of this particular DVD always seem to resize to 863x480, no matter what I set "global MeGUI_darx/y" to. I can't figure out why that is. Maybe because I had to crop 8px from each side? I also noticed that MeGUI automatically sets the DAR to 178/99 even if I explicitly select 16:9 as input DAR. I can only change it by editing the .avs, but like I said, the aspect ratio of the rip will still be 863x480. Weird.

It's OK, I have watched the video in its entirety today and the choppy framerate didn't bother me after a while. And like I said, the problem disappears after the first 30 minutes anyway. Today's DVD corner: "Nude Art" starring Sakura Ryouko, a girl with the fairest skin I have ever seen. Add to that a daring smile and a slender body and you've got all you need to get my attention. The DVD itself was good for the most part, though the slow pacing of chapter 2 bored me a little bit. Chapter 7, on the other hand, was over way too quickly. Other than that, definitely worth a look, especially for people who like girls with snow-white skin.

That's what I always do, but it still messed up the AR. Anyway, I managed to solve the problem myself by cropping 8 pixels from both the left and right side, 2 from the top and 4 from the bottom. Apparently the source itself had a weird AR and cropping it unproportionally fixed that.

Today's DVD corner: Amamiya Meru's "moon shower". She oozes pheromones from every pore of her body, but I bought this DVD mostly because I was drawn to her voluminous lips. Thankfully, we are blessed with an entire scene of her sucking on not only one, but two popsicles. This is a 369 DVD, so we can expect some interesting close-ups as well. Today's DVD corner: Ayase Mikuru's "Junshin Otohime". After the cuteness overload from a few days ago, I originally intended to take it easy today. Due to my lack of willpower when it comes to cute girls, however, I couldn't help but watch this DVD sooner than planned. And what can I say, Mikuru-chan is just too cute. Especially her shy mannerisms in the first chapter stole my heart. A special award goes to the dildo scene, the slurping sound she makes is legendary and watching her face after she inserts it is extremely satisfying. The "潮吹き" part advertised on the cover is a total letdown, though. They didn't even attempted to make it look real. All in all, however, it's a fantastic DVD (great image quality, too!) that I'll surely come back to again and again. It's such a shame that this is the only movie she ever released, I would love to see more of her.

P.S. I found what I believe to be a flawless ISO of the other DVD. The download will take a while (Ryushare...), but I'll probably have it ripped and uploaded by Tuesday evening unless x264 crashes, which it tends to do ever since I changed QTGMC's preset from "Slow" to "Slower". Though it hasn't crashed once since I set the MemoryMax to 2000, so we'll see.
