Why do we seem to have such a growing NEET problem, particularly in young men?
Is it possible to fix it?

Japan is stuck in a model that doesn't work anymore. They don't cater to individuality at all, so you either adapt or become a NEET.

>> No.10356262

Of course, by making the working world suck a hell of a lot less.
But, thats not going to happen so NEETs is what ya get.

The need to work is growing less and less. Once all food production is automated the NEETs will grow larger. NEET is the future, so prepare your angus.

NEET is the tru way

No! It's not possible!

NEETdom doesn't exist. It was invented.

NEET is the future we're striving for. NEET is Humanity's ultimate goal, but nobody wants to admit it which is why we have inspectors inspecting inspectors inspecting inspectors. We need begin phasing average and poorer peoples into the NEET lifestyle or humanity is doomed.

NEET was created by the government to create a complacent population entirely dependent on them

If you ever want to be the man you want to be, you have to overcome hedonism. It is the greatest threat to individual achievement in the modern era.

Are you a bad enough dude?

I like that NEET life feels. Taking it easy.
But being a NEET in my country is not possible.
You must work or you won't survive. No welfare. slav.

It obviously works. The problem is that it's not competitive. Allow me to present my thoughts on how to fix Japan:

I) Allowing and expecting women to create real careers almost doubles the number of serious university applicants. The quality of graduates surges upwards.

II) Extreme individualism removes all needlessly solid 'safe havens' from life. A person with genuine friends can be too confident. Diluting and twisting the concept of friendship (the American habit of teaching kids that everyone is a friend, Facebook).

III) A rigid shame society creates the illusion that a person could somehow fulfill his role in it. Sounds like crap, doesn't it? The concept of personal guilt is much more dynamic and exploitable because it focuses on the individual instead of his role. Getting rid of formalities enhances the illusion of everything being personal. It's not enough that a worker is a good worker - he should also be a good guy.

IV) Associating with your colleagues after work means that you might actually bond with them. This is not only bad for obvious reasons (II), but also an indicator of a lax working environment.

V) Xenophobia needs to go. Do they think their country is somehow worth working for? A person lives for himself, and maybe for his family. Immigrants, especially resourceful ones, are a good fix.

SSRI usage statistics are useful in determining how much you can tighten the screw.

Essentially you suggest to turn them into a Western society?
