"Dinner is ready," Janny-kun's mother yells from the kitchen. "Not now, mom," Janny-kun answers, frantically pressing keys on his keyboard. "I have to cleanse this image board on the internet from revealing pictures of three dimensional women, even though the rules clearly state that images of this kind are allowed," he proclaims proudly. "We have talked about this before, honey," his mother says dishearteningly, now standing in the doorway to his room, looking at his figurine and onahole collection. "Are you sure you aren't using your frustration about your absolute lack of success with women as a scapegoat to withdraw in your 2D world, even going as far as to force it on other people?"
"Shut up mom!", Janny-kun screams angrily, chasing his mother away before returning to his computer chair.

A single tear escapes his eye as he presses the [Delete Thread] button.

This is less insulting when the person telling this wonderful little story is a gravure idol fan.

"Safe for work" doesn't just mean "no tits or vagoo". Gravure idols are basically softcore porn. There are better boards, for you and for us.

Has anyone on /jp/ ever been to a club?

I know a bunch of you have been to college or led ordinary lives before you became perverted shut-ins.

I have. I got dragged there by a few coworkers back when I was still a novice in the art of weaseling out of things.

I had a terrible time. The music was too loud and the liquor was too expensive and people kept trying to talk to me. It was like a nightmare.

Yeah at college. I got drunk as hell then kinda danced a bit then sat in the corner wondering what to do next. Still don't understand what "clubbing" even is. I was just bored.

>> No.10750182

Is there something between a "quiet evening" and "going clubbing"? Maybe a jazz night or something, but I imagine those are full of annoying people.

That feeling when you get dragged to a club and you have no idea how to dance, so you do a wacky dance ironically.
That feeling when everyone thinks you're being silly and has a right laff, then they realize it's not just a joke and it becomes awkward for everybody.

I went into a pub once and sports was on the big television and everyone was standing up watching it. Every so often the ball would go somewhere and everyone would cheer and shake each other and I just awkwardly got bumped about.

People are weird.

As much as I relate to this you are trying too hard to sound like an epic /jp/sie wallflower. They cheered because their team was doing well, like you get happy when you do well in a videogame. Not rocket science.

Few years ago, my mum got tired of enabling my NEET life, sent me to live with my uncle in the city for job-hunting.

My uncle turned out to be an honourary /jp/sie, told me to forget the jobs if I wanted to and we spent the evenings going to pubs and playing pool. After a few drinks I was even pretty good at it.

Between turns I'd browse /jp/ on the pub's wifi, my uncle probably thought I was texting my "friends" or "checking Facebook". Amusing.

I know, I'm just trying to convey my feelings through hyperbolic speech (or something).

In real life I know that the point is to kick the football into the opposite goal and that's a good thing and that's why they cheered, but at the time I was very overwhelmed and confused. To me it was just movement occurring then results happening.

I still think they overreact way too much. It's like those stories about Americans clapping at the end of a film. It makes a little more sense because something good to you is happening, but I don't cheer when I read new Touhou announcements. If I was with a group and it was announced live, maybe we all would, but we wouldn't start grabbing and shaking each other.

I was looking at volunteering work recently and some service for the blind wants volunteers to go to the pub with visually-impaired people. Travel, food, and drink expenses are covered by the service.
I might actually apply. The downside is I'd have to talk with these blind people, but maybe I could skulk off somewhere and they'd just think I'm a very good listener.

Holy shit if that was paid it'd be the first job in a long while that sounds actually enjoyable

You would, but I think blind people might be easier to talk to than the average normal. Plus you could flip them off in the middle of conversations and they wouldn't even know lmao
