You hear a knock on the door and get up to answer it. It is Keine.

"It's that time of the month again, isn't it?" you ask.

Keine huffs "If you're going to be late with your rent again, I'm really going to evict you this time!"

We used to regularly be late on the rent and my landlord rode a Harley so now whenever I hear one go down the road I feel anxious and jittery. Brings back memories of laying awake in bed listening to him knock on the door and look through the windows for 10 minutes.

You grab all your personal belongings, which thanks to Tewi, consists of your boxer shorts and your Neetori-Co breathing apparatus, and run out the back door towards the lake.

You feel kind of bad tricking Keine like that, but had you stayed, you probably would hve died. Afterall it was that time of the month again... you might not have even had a history by the end of the day. That breathing apparatus turned out to be a real life saver.

You insert the long tube into your mouth and wrap your lips around it. It tastes kind of funny, but apparently if you suck it and blow it you can breathe even while under water. Or at least that is what Tewi said.

Just when you were about to jump into the lake, an ice fairy stops you and asks you what that funny looking thing in your mouth is.

You try to roll around, but end up waiting an hour for the ice to melt. You grab your fairy spit covered special tube.

Meanwhile a mermaid appears in the lake. Being curious, you decide to stick the tube back in your mouth and jump in the lake and swim towards the mermaid.

"Thank you for distracting the fairy, she attacks us at random, but thanks to your clever wit and heroic deeds, the life of daughter of the Emperor of the Sea, Ryūjin, was saved. He would like to thank you personally and hold an banquet in your honor."

A turtle swims up to the surface, "My name is Genji, and I will be taking you to the dragon palace myself, Urashima Taro."

"My name isn't Urashima Taro..." you hesitantly reply.

You don't remember what happened next, but you wake up dazed, washed up on the beach. You take the breathing apparatus out of your mouth since you're not under water anymore. You check your belongings. It appears you weren't mugged at least. Boxers, check. Breathing apparatus, check. Mysterious box, check.

Mysterious lacquered box has been added to your inventory!

"Whaa..."

It feels heavy, looks valuable and you wonder what's inside.

Just then you spot Keine and Mokou in swimsuits, apparently they decided this was a good day for a swim at the beach.

"Not good..."

You knock her down and you're positioned on top of her one hand on her chest.

Mokou sees this and becomes enraged.

You jump in the lake to extinguish the fire, and a dialogue box appears.

"Would you like to return to the dragon palace?"

I ought to make a MUD/MOO set in Gensokyo. It's not actually hard to do. All of the necessary tools (lambdaMOO core, winMOO or whatever you wanna run it on, etc.) are available publicly. It's just time-intensive.

Feeling the awkward atmosphere, you decide to explore the lake. There isn't much. Fish. Some underwater plants. A giant marimo.

You bump into the mermaid again.

"Greetings again! It has been a while since we last met, would you return to the dragon palace with me?"

You realize that you can't come up with a reason for all of this.

You remember the box. It must have some valuables in it. You open up the box you were given earlier, thinking it must have some gold in it. Poof. Nothing but a puff of smoke.

Realizing you have no means to pay the fine, you resist arrest. Suddenly more turtles appears and start attacking you. You struggle to swim for the surface while they attack you. It's painful and even more of them come at you, but you aren't dying yet.

Once you get a certain distance, they stop following you. What a relief, you're wounded and in major pain, but you survived. You swim to the beach for the time being. It might be a good idea to avoid the lake for a while.

Keine and Mokou are gone by now, it is night time.

She freezes your tears, small spheres of ice drop to the ground.

"See, all better now!"

"Y-you're that fairy!"

"Huh, who are you?

They start bickering and pulling your arms. You feel like you're being torn apart because of the wounds you suffered earlier.

To be honest, their comedy act/this isn't very good. At least in my opinion. That certain image cap is actually a reference to Reimu & Marisa's act, which is rather good.
Reimu&Marisa and Suika&Yuugi have the best act in my opinion, Ran&Chen's is pretty good too.

Eventually you black out from the pain, and you are woken up by beams of sunlight coming over the horizon. You try to get up but notice some resistance. You look to you right and Wakasagihime is nested in your arm. You look to your left and the big ice fairy is sprawled out and sleeping on top of your other arm.

You aren't sure what happened last nice, but it is a lot more peaceful and you feel a lot better.
