I played this game a few years ago and I can't recall the name. It was a grid-based dungeon crawler and you would lose all your levels when you went back to the surface, but the girl you brought didn't (or maybe it was the reverse) and so you'd keep going further down and getting more items/costumes to upgrade the girl.

The fact that there's about 4-5 active fan translators and even less people that can actually hack the games so that they can actually put out a translation and also the fact that only a couple of the official companies release nukige.
If you really want to read something just learn Japanese or "read" it with MTL. It really doesn't take as long as you'd think to have enough proficiency in the language to read a simple nukige like Musumama.

I opened Kangoku Senkan 2 on a whim today (having first played it in like 2016 or so after learning JP for it) and I'm kind of overwhelmed with nostalgia and sorrow. Nostalgia because it's even more beautiful than I remember it, and sorrow because Lilith is dead and it's all gacha shit now.

What I want to say is that Kangoku Senkan 2 is still a masterpiece. I don't know what it is, maybe it's purely nostalgia goggles (it is one of my favorite nukige after all), but it feels like such a bold and artistically confident game. Feels like Waffle and ClockUp are the only studios left that would compare to the Lilith you're talking about now a days. Honestly, I think this trend was something that started right off with manga and has transitioned into visual novels over time, so it's mostly a change in the industry following the audience and trends. Or basically, people years ago enjoyed their smut with some actual plot in it. The current generation of consumers in Japan would rather have their smut and some brainless plot that delivers the smut, much like in their eromanga.

Are there any good titles that have a gradual build up to the action? I don't mean like 20 hours of courting and then the first H-scene is vanilla sex, but rather that the H-scenes themselves start out as rather tame, little or no penetration, and by the last H-scene it's very depraved. A bit specific, I know, but I find it difficult to edge to nukige that start off with the action already near its apex, which seems to be fairly common.

I find that sim games tend to fulfill this desire pretty well, since you're initially limited in the actions that you as the player can do to the girl, otherwise it's game over, but I haven't found a proper analogue in vn nukige just yet. I've found that at least on windows 10 for some games an explicit minimize will pause but an alt-tab or clicking on a different window will not pause them.
If stuff like this bothers you, you should just learn reverse engineering though. Probably an easy fix if you start from the window messages.

For those that want to use Reipatcher for Astronaut's newest game without any translation delay. Here's the _AutoGeneratedTranslations.txt

By copying the text, there wont be any delay on the translation even if you're using instant speed for the text (However i haven't do the 4th girl yet so it's still missing)
