Yuka Nagase is Yuka Nagase. Whatever the dimension may be, or however she decides to present herself, I really don't mind. I just hope she stays true to her passion for music and her own artistic vision. Riot (and of course Kigensho Records) seem to be supportive in this regards. Honestly, the much harder question for me would be do I love the persona of "Yuka Nagase," or do I love the musician behind "Yuka Nagase."

That is an interesting conundrum. One of my favoirte things about Yuka is that she commits to her character, i don't think she's that way in real life, but she doesn't have to be. Yuka is Yuka. I like her personality, and i like the musician's commitment to it and her musical and aesthetic sensibilities. Daft Punk is my favorite band of all time, and if you think about it , it's a very similar situation. In an interview they said something to the tone of "you don't need to know us, our music is already the most personal thing we could ever give to you", and i think it's a good sentiment. Yuka does seem to have quite a bit of creative freedom with her projects like you said, and i'll be happy if she continues doing whatever seh wants, in 2d or 3d.

Meta posting for a minute but, asmi is not an utaite, nor a vsinger. However, her music is adjacent to the utaite & vsinger scene, having recorded multiple anime tracks as well as tracks that are frequently covered (like PAKU).
This specific series of threads was started because of a desire to discuss Japanese music that was deemed inappropriate on /vt/. I don't really want to gatekeep who is or is not posted here based on labels, especially given the thread history. /jp/ has the doujin music general and vocaloid general which have a lot of overlap, but are not appropriate substitutes. There is the occasional non-idol thread which would be appropriate for some artists that get posted here. /mu/ has nothing now a days. >>44474377 is a shitpost, but when it was asked about someone like nanawo akari, it was a fair question.
It's just my own observation, but it doesn't seem like a lot of posters here care one way or the other. They like who they like, and just want a place to talk about the artists and music that they enjoy.

Was just typing something up as I just got back to the hotel.

Photos and videos were allowed so I took a few short videos. Most of my energy spent enjoying the show, which was about 2 hours long. I didn't have any energy to line up for merch afterwards, unfortunately. But the show was pretty awesome. Somunia did a virtual set, wotoha did a 3d set, and then they sang some songs together. I had a great time, but to be honest, I'm too old for this kind of thing now. My bones hurt from standing in the cramped space for too long.

I wouldn't do a 1 on 1 even without the language barrier. I've met some of my idols before and it can be overwhelming. In my case I'm talking more about visual artists than singers, but I imagine its similar enough. And that was without paying and without strict time limits. What do you say to leave a good first impression in 2-5 minutes (average length of these things)? Do you try to be funny? Come up with a unique question? I'm not really sure. Many people need more than that long to even warm up to the idea.

I think it's as you expect. Yagoo may have attempted the idol growth route.
It's fun to see someone grow as compared to starting with someone who is perfect.

For me it's more like the only thing I can express is gratitude, and maybe ask a question about their life choices.
But it's easier to write from a distance than to come up with something on the spot.

The strange thing is that we may have indirectly exchanged with some of them through this idol advertising and basket weaving forum.
Sora sang the song which made an impact on my life after I mentioned it in her 15 year activity plan discussion in her next stream and had some trouble because she forgot the song a bit.

An interesting idea is that the vtubers 4chan users like the most will have a similar mindset (lower narcissism) and thus will also have a higher probability of checking it out.
As for the language barrier it shouldn't be too difficult for an intern to check out the messages and to report it.

Some vtubers start to learn English after some time too.
There must be a reason for it even if it's just to become more popular or because they have a high percentage of foreign viewers.
In that case they must be more curious and may even put more focus on the English speaking site if they focus on it.

Btw Chapipi seems to have misunderstood my last comment.
What I meant by change was a change in mindset; not giving up.
Changing to a company could have worked too as a first step.
Even if she gave up, she will still face the same challenge no matter what path she takes and will just delay her progress.

The key to manifesting is to believe in it, and to be aligned with the desire, while feeling gratitude.
Trying to achieve something by brute force is acknowledging the weakness of not being able to have it and neediness which is manifesting the opposite of not being able to get it.

In her case she had to stop trying so hard and focus on understanding better the source of her desire which was warped through negative past events.
By facing her past and becoming free she could have materialized what she really desired.

That synchronicity felt bad. Something prevented me from sleeping until I wrote that message but because it frustrated me the meaning may have been misunderstood.
Maybe it was enough like that but I won't be able to find out for some time.
