learn japanese is a big statement and can be taken as far as you want. im going to assume you want to know how long it'll take to be able to comprehend input, namely anime and manga. for that depending on work put in you can get really good results in 1-2 years easy, hell by 6 months if you're diligent, study hard and long and immerse lots, no whitenoising you'll be able to work your way through most stuff (albeit with lookups) in even less time.
