I have a friend who taught English in Japan who is very tall (even by USA standards) and has huge breasts (even by USA standards.) She had LOTS of molestation problems, but she also had a long term very serious relationship with a really good looking Japanese dude, so she had some normal guys interested too though.

To me it seems like the biggest hurdle for getting a boyfriend in Japan would be the language barrier. Even if you're good at Japanese, it's hard to get to know someone on a deep level unless you're fluent.
