Rather than worrying about parents getting angry, I would be worried about parents getting worried about you. Even for relatively open-minded people, it's easy to interpret using a pillow to simulate hugging a real person as an act of desperate loneliness. And they've probably already noted the lack of any evidence that you've ever been with a girl, making it seem like you're so desperate for that affection you never managed to get that you'd use what they perceive as a poor imitation of the experience of hugging a loved one.
