And their fanbases are the same!

This is the worst thread I've seen in a long time. As for the points you make about the fanbases, almost ALL fanbases are like that.

Take Kingdom hearts and Homestuck for example.

But Touhous are basically humans, we DO play the games and we got kicked out because /a/ and /v/ are populated by retarded people.

Pokemon on the other hand are animal-like, you do play the games but only the horrible ones aka the games after gold/silver and you got kicked out because everyone hates furries which pokemon fans are.

I agree, I was pretty surprised, but the average age seems to be something like 13. Half of them only started playing pokemon with the third generation of games. And the other half are furries.

I remember when /vp/ was good. Or should I say "/tr/".
Back when it first started, it was full of gentlemen discussing the upcoming generation of games, speculating, talking about technical stuff, and posting lewd pictures of female trainers, not of pokemon. Then this pokephile thing started to invade /vp/ and I had to migrate. I've never went back ever since.
