Kony 2012 is a failed experiment in viral propaganda. Those who were hip enough to see the video within the first 48 hours it was uploaded and were moved by it were also net savvy enough to discover the truth quickly after hastily posting it to their facebook walls.

Kony has not even been active in six years. It's comparable to not having heard of the 9/11 attacks until today and being duped into thinking they're still going on. Supporting Invisible Children also means giving money to the Ugandan army, which they paint as the "good guys" in their video, but they also employ child soldiers and rape and murder civilians. Keep in mind that Uganda is also where that "THEY EAT DA POO POO" video came from; they are just too fucked up to save and we need to stop throwing money at them because it's only corrupting them even more.
